Titus2Talk – Thanksgiving

   November is when we start thinking of Thanksgiving.  Turkey, pumpkin pie, and a full belly!  Come to Titus2Talks on November 8 at 7:00pm to learn what the Bible tells us about how to show thanks to God.  Christine Phillips is giving the talk and a craft will follow.  We will be making gift jars. One to keep and one to give!  Please sign up at the church kiosk this Sunday so we know how much to purchase for the crafts.

We are very excited to have Mrs. Marilyn Anderes as our speaker this year.    We hope you can join us at the Eisenhower Hotel & Conference Center (Gettysburg, PA),  October 7th-9th.    The pricing is listed below:

Double Occupancy -$180 per person, Triple – $145/ pp,  Quad -  $125/pp

The pricing  includes pizza Friday night, breakfast Saturday & Sunday & dinner Saturday night .   Registration is on Sunday mornings starting August 7th at the Kiosk or by contacting a member of the Women’s Ministry Team (women.utown.org).  All women are welcome.

Women’s Retreat 2011 – SAVE THE DATE

RETREAT UPDATE!  We are very excited to announce the retreat this year will be held at the Eisenhower Hotel & Conference Center in Gettysburg, PA.  The dates are October 7^th-9^th, and our speaker will be Marilyn Anderes.  Mrs. Anderes is an amazing Bible study teacher, mentor, and retreat leader.  She is also a very dear friend to Pastor Tim and many others at UBC.  We pray that you can join us for an amazing weekend.  Retreat registration will begin in July.  Please watch the bulletin, the Women’s Ministry blog, and Facebook for details and pricing.

Titus2Talk & Hygiene Kit Collection

Ladies, please join us  for an evening of Titus2Talks with our speaker, Rebecca Merson. NEXT TUESDAY, March 15^th at Uniontown Bible Church from 7-9 pm.

God has placed a message on Rebecca’s heart to share about women serving in ministry. Her topic will cover knowing when is the season to serve (and serve often) and knowing when it is okay to say “no”. Let’s examine scripture to see where God ranks serving in the order of our daily lives and responsibilities.

If you need help in prioritizing in this area, come out and let’s take a look at Proverbs 31 together. We look forward to a great evening of sharing, learning and friendship. Please join us and bring a friend!  All women are welcome.

Titus 2:3-5  ³ Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. ⁴ Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, ⁵ to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

The Women’s Ministry is supporting the upcoming missions trip to Ketty’s House in the Dominican Republic by collecting hygiene kits.  Please consider putting together a kit or donating single items.

The kits will fit in gallon sized zip-loc bags.  The following items are needed:

Wash cloths,  Hand towels, Soap, Deodorant  (ladies), Band-aids, Lotion, Wide tooth combs,  Toothbrushes,  Nail clippers, Nail files.

The items will be collected at the Titus2Talk on March 15th (7:00 pm-9:00 pm) at UBC.
